How the song key transposer works
For chord progressions, the tool maps each chord to a scale degree in the source key and rebuilds it in the target key. That keeps common pop and dance progressions musical instead of only shifting every chord by a fixed number of semitones.
For MIDI files, notes inside the detected source scale are moved to the matching degree in the target scale. Notes outside the scale are shifted by the closest root movement, preserving timing and note lengths so the file stays arranged like the original.
When to use it
Use it when a vocal needs a different key, a sample pack loop fits better in another scale, or you want to test the same chord idea across multiple keys before producing a full track.
