Delay & Reverb Time Calculator
Enter a BPM and get exact note-value delay times for delays, echoes and reverb pre-delay.
How the delay time calculator works
Delay times are calculated from the tempo: one quarter note is 60,000 divided by the BPM. Dotted and triplet values are derived from that beat length, so you can set echoes, ping-pong delays and rhythmic throws precisely in your DAW.
Use the milliseconds view for plugins that accept time values, or switch to samples when you need sample-accurate editing at 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz.
Producer workflow
Tap a tempo first if you are matching a reference track, then open this calculator at that BPM. Short 16th and 32nd values are useful starting points for reverb pre-delay, while dotted 8th and quarter-note values are common for melodic delay lines.
